Future Technologies Advisory Group
About
The Future Technologies Advisory Group is a consulting and media group focused on promoting awareness and understanding of radical scientific advances and emerging technologies, as well as evaluating their impact on individuals, businesses and societies. The firm FutureTAG Ltd. is incorporated in the UK.
Our target markets are the media, and policy makers in government and industry. We develop science information products aimed at a wide audience and suitable for publishing, broadcasting and the web, and more detailed information and consulting products aimed at specific clients.
We have a special interest in the convergence of nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology and cognitive science (NBIC), and its potential for radically improving the human condition. We are persuaded that forthcoming advances in these areas will soon permit inter alia enhancing human health, lifespan and cognitive abilities, deploying nanotechnology based production systems, settling space and developing (higher than) human level artificial intelligence. While having a positive attitude toward such changes, we appreciate that economic, social and political issues will need study, understanding and planning. Read more about our Worldview...
Having been on the Web since day one, we have not been surprised by its fast growing penetration in our personal and business lives. On the contrary, we are persuaded that we have seen just the tip of the iceberg so far, and that we have not even started using the Web as enabling technology for radical change; it still has to make its biggest impact on our society, culture, economy, and politics. We actively follow developments in web services, the semantic web, p2P systems, search, groupware, intelligent agents, location based services, grid computing, artificial intelligence, new computing architectures and hardware devices, and other areas which are shaping tomorrow's IT industry. Please visit our section "IT Consulting" for our Information Technology consulting services.
